One of the absolute joys for my sister is to come up and stay chez moi and go noseying around the many historic market towns this area offers. You just never know what inspiration can come from any shop or historic building’s gift shop. There is a tiny market town very near that is several notches above the town I live in – seems to have depended on the wealth of the clientelle of course – and their ability to let go the trouser pocket or wallet and spend in the local shops. One such emporium has only been going 20 years but has forged a tremendous customer base for crafters with huge fabric remnant sales together with silks, yarns, crochet and knitting stuff. The joy of wandering in to spend a spare hour or two cannot adequately be convey here, but it is truly marellous. This versatile shop is surely a gift from heaven!
