My neighbours are getting ready to move away – very much a case of down sizing and it’s causing rather a lot of mayhem in their otherwise very calm and sedate lifestyle – they need to reduce their gifting, buying of clothing and all that online shopping!    When  you have a lot of rooms each with large fitted wardrobes, I’m not sure why, but you manage to fill every single wardrobe from floor to ceiling with spare clothes.  I have one such in a spare room – wall to wall hot weather clothes kept especially and exclusively for hot holidays.  We’ve had lovely scorching hot weather here lately and yet I very rarely think of dipping in to the spares – it’s almost sacrosanct.  They are much nicer clothes in that wardrobe and much more feminine – exactly right for a hot holiday, all bought in charity shops too .  After all, you never know . . .
